  • Emily Moorhouse-Aires

    Camp Manager

    Emily has 25 years of experience working in the fitness, health, sport, and recreation sectors, including being a Recreation Coordinator, Holiday Programme Leader, Recreation Centre Manager and Director of Sport.

    Emily has developed and runs the Off-grid Adventure Camps, and loves seeing the enjoyment the kids get from the camps. As a mother, she understands what the kids need to feel supported and have a great time, and also what parents need to feel reassured that their children are in good hands and having a great time.

    Emily has a passion for health, exercise, adventure and nature, and she loves giving others the opportunity to have wonderful experiences in the outdoors.

  • Russell Ennor

    Camp Leader

    Russell is a trained secondary school teacher and was previously Head of Physical Education and Outdoor Education and Sport in Napier.

    Russell has been developing and running all of the school programmes, school camps and leadership development programmes that have run at Ranui Farm Park for the past six years.

    He has now joined the Off-grid Adventures team, and we’re super lucky to have his experience and wisdom on the team!

    Russell has three adult children and four grandchildren. In his spare time he enjoys golf and doing cycling tours all around the country.

  • Trevor Ennor

    Camp Leader

    Trevor wears many hats at Ranui - Farm Manager, School Camp Leader, Off-grid Camps Night Manager and qualified Plumber! Trev grew up at Ranui Farm and now manages the farm side of the business, so he knows the place like the back of his hand!

    Trev enjoys working with children and has a passion to teach them new things and watch their confidence grow.

    He has a love of sport, especially; rugby, mountain biking, hiking, fishing and diving.

    Trev’s wife, Lisa Ennor (pictured), also helps with the Adventure Camps. A yoga teacher, health coach and lover of the outdoors, she also brings a lot to the Off-grid team!

  • Pita Lloyd

    Camp Instructor

    Pita has an extensive background in outdoor education, recreation and sport.

    His deep-rooted passion for the outdoors began during his nearly 25 years of service in the NZ Army.

    Pita has continued his mission in education by running a services academy within Flaxmere College, where he blends his love of the defence force, health, fitness, and outdoor education to guide students toward a future of service.

    Through his work, Pita fosters discipline, teamwork, and resilience in the students he teaches.

    To the Off-grid team, he brings a great knowledge of the outdoors, knot-tying and compass skills.

  • Maree Lloyd

    Camp Instructor

    Maree brings with her a unique blend of experiences.  With a background as a New Zealand Defence Force medic, she has a strong knowledge of the outdoors and safety.

    Maree also has an extensive understanding of children's development. She was previously a midwife and for the last 18 years has been working in education, with a focus most recently on learning support in both primary and secondary schools.

    Maree has a love of camping, hiking and the outdoors. Her expertise ensures a safe, educational, and enriching experience for young adventurers.

  • Wendy Downes

    Camp Instructor

    Wendy trained as a Registered Nurse and is our primary First-Aider onsite.

    She comes from a farming background, having farmed most of her life, and she loves the outdoors!

    Her interests are walking, going to Yoga, gym and line dancing.

    She has three grown children and three grandchildren and she brings a real nurturing aspect to the camp.

    Whether she’s looking after the kids at the camp or helping with house-keeping or ground maintenance at Ranui Farm Park, she’s a multi-talented star that we’re grateful to have on the team!

  • Jack Hunt

    Camp Instructor

    Jack loves the outdoors, especially mountain biking, running, hiking and hunting. He’s passionate about mountain biking and works part-time doing trail maintenance and as a bicycle technician, as well as running activities for kids at Ranui Farm Park.

    He’s currently doing his gold for the Duke of Edinburgh award and as part of this he has been lucky enough to go on the Spirit of Adventure and to Outward Bound. These adventures have improved his confidence, life-experience and leadership skills.

    He’s our biking superstar and enjoys coaching others with their biking skills.
